For almost a decade, our family has engaged in a simple, challenging and fun tradition. We dedicate the last 40 days before the American holiday of Thanksgiving to actively fight against our natural desire to grumble. This has proven to be a real challenge! Yet every year we do it again! We fail continually but grace invites us back to this activity.
3 Simple Rules
1. No grumbling against God, self or others.
2. When you do grumble and you will, repent and turn back to Him, with thanksgiving for who He is, What He is doing and What he Has done.
3. Do not be the grumble police. If someone does grumble encourage them and pray for them.
